(Research - Project) Inhabiting the Web Task 02/10/96: The Final Trial

To mark the end of the six month period of trials we have decided to hold a party as the last trial meeting. We will be providing the venue, some music and some party games.

Let me describe what I hope will happen.

We should congregate in the Foyer for the start of the meeting. Then I would like everyone to go through to the Games world where the party portal can be found. Some of today's activities will involve two teams and I would like everyone to decide amongst themselves who should be in each team before passing through the party portal.

There are four party rooms, each with a different theme reflected by the music.

The four games/tasks to be found in the rooms are:

One

A dance contest - use those embodiments to their full potential!

Two

An Obstacle course - team A vs team B.

Three

Five words will be written on a blackboard. It is your task to come up with a story of 50-100 words which uses all five of the words on the blackboard. I don't mind if team A and team B come up with separate stories or if they combine their talents and come up with a single story.

Four

A discussion on what happens next, now that the funded trial phase of the project is over. An interest has been expressed in continuing with some form of virtual meetings. This does not have to be on as regular a basis as the ITW trials have been and doesn't have to be held in MASSIVE. We could try out Dive meetings or any other applications which people may like to try. It would be a shame to just let things fizzle out now that we are all experienced "cybernaughts" :-)

If there is a strong preference to perform these tasks in a particular order then let me know on the day, otherwise it will be pot luck as to when you do the tasks depending on the order you travel between the rooms.
